After an autumn spent at home, return to normalcy this winter will be a shock to the system, especially with the winter sport season starting up.
Our Physio team is here to help you get back on the move with their top tips to help you stay fit this winter.
1. Rug up and get out of the house for a walk
Did you know that we all need to do at least 30 Minutes of exercise each day? This doesn’t have to be all at once, you can break it up into smaller chunks.
Too dark in the mornings and evenings when you get home from work?
The answer is simple – lunchtime walks. Make it social and get your work friends involved too.
If you need some inspiration, check out our website to read our blog post- Physio reviewed walks in Christchurch
2. Park further away from the supermarket entrance
Little things throughout the day all count. Even something as simple as parking far away from the supermarket entrance or your workplace can make a difference.
You can even thank the people that park close to the entrance because they’re helping you get your exercise done. Good for your heart literally and emotionally!
3. Give online Work out videos a try
Free, fun and something you can do in the comfort of your own home! Pop on to YouTube and search for some of these types of exercise
1. Beginner Yoga- For flexibility and strength
2. Chairobics class- Perfect for elderly or if you have trouble with your balance
3. Dance work out- Fun and fast! Great to do with Kids.
